The Bird Feeder

I loved creating “The Bird Feeder!” The sculpture depicts a young, barefooted girl, feeding the birds. She portrays serenity, hope and the joy of life. Her movement is captured through a strong diagonal composition that is softened by the feminine round forms of the hat basin, her hair and the folds of the dress. This sculpture is versatile as it can be used as a fountain, a planter or just to hold birdseed.
Note: there is only ONE casting of this sculpture left as of 11-1-04.
